How to permanently delete your Beyzo account and associated data.

The fastest way — delete from the app

  1. Open the Beyzo app on your phone.
  2. Sign in with the phone number attached to the account you want to delete.
  3. Tap the Account tab (bottom right).
  4. Scroll to About & Legal at the bottom.
  5. Tap Delete my account, review the warning, and confirm.

You will be signed out immediately. Your account and personal data will be permanently deleted or anonymised within 30 days — see “What we retain” below for the small set of records we are legally required to keep for tax, AML, and audit compliance.

Alternative — email support

If you can't access the app (lost phone, forgotten number, uninstalled), email us from the address linked to your Beyzo account:

Subject: Account deletion request

In the body, please include:

  • Your Beyzo account phone number (in the format used at signup, e.g. +923001234567)
  • Your registered name (as it appears on your Beyzo profile)
  • Any additional context you'd like the reviewer to see (optional)

We aim to acknowledge within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account profile (name, email, phone number, city, date of birth)
  • Your listings, saved searches, wishlists, and viewed history
  • Your chat messages with other users
  • Push notification tokens and device information
  • Phone reveal history
  • Any storefront or shop profile you own (if you are a verified shopkeeper)

What we retain (and why)

A small set of records is kept in an anonymised form because Pakistani law requires it:

  • Wallet and payment transactions — 7 years (tax law)
  • CNIC records for verified shopkeepers — 5 years after closure (AML rules)
  • Audit logs — 7 years (compliance)

These records no longer identify you personally — your name, phone number, email, and other direct identifiers are replaced with anonymised references.

Timeline

  1. You request deletion (in the app or via email).
  2. We acknowledge your request within 3 business days.
  3. A Compliance reviewer confirms there are no unresolved disputes and any legal-hold requirements are noted.
  4. Deletion / anonymisation completes within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once it's done.
